Lieber Freund!
Für die illuminierte Postkarte mit den Glückwüschen sage ich meinen herzlichsten Dank und bitte Dich auch denselben den anderen Unterzeichnern zu überbringen. Ich arbeite hier mit Serumtherapie. Am Anfang September ist ein Kongress in Brüssel, den Madsen besuchen wird. Ich gehe dann nach Hause. Vielleicht sehen wir einander bei Ostwalds Jubiläum 20. Sept. Die grosse Ehre schätze ich ausserordentlich hoch und freue mich sehr darüber. Mit den besten Grüssen an Dich und Frau und wohl auch Glückwünschen.

Dear Friend,
I extend my heartfelt thanks for the illuminating postcard and ask that you convey the same to the other signatories. I am now working here with serotherapy. At the beginning of September, there is a conference in Brussels that Madsen will most likely attend. I will then return home. Perhaps we will see each other at Ostwald’s jubilee celebration on the 20th of September. I really appreciate this great honor and look forward to it. Greetings to you and your wife and congratulations!
