This message will reach you through Dr. Hochwald (who will be liberated today). It is mainly for his sake that I am sending it to you. It is difficult for me to really describe his personality to you because he, who will inevitably read these lines, will object to any compliment. Like Dr. Sequerra, Hochwald represented Joint in the camp in an admirable and exemplary way. In every respect, he is an outstanding leader of upmost integrity. He rendered invaluable personal and material services not only to me, but the entire group, which he led, without complaining. I emphasized this so that your friends at Joint, the Jewish World Congress, and Hias really do as much as possible for him. To obtain an American visa for him, it will require all your efforts. Dr. Hochwald is like Herbert Freundlich. You can imagine that I would be very pleased if you achieve a successful outcome.
