It seems that Georg will send this information to people he knows to help Max with his job search. In the letter Georg gives Max fatherly advice, telling him to not be too timid.

Dear Max-Albert,
As soon as possible, please send me a copies of:
a) your curriculum vitae
b) a list of your publications
c) your diplomas and transcripts
d) a short description of your achievements and the fields in which you have worked in and feel confident being involved with in the future. Don't come across as too timid. You don't need that and it won’t be appreciated. It is important to highlight your experience with phosphate, carbide, and working in industry. Also mention that you wrote your Master’s thesis in Organic Chemistry, that you understand Inorganic Chemistry, and that you completed your education in Göttingen. Emphasize your experience working at K.W.J with Pohl, with Fajans in Munich, and in Physical Chemistry with Haber.

Lastly, mention your years of scientific work for large technical companies.
I have to write a few letters to B. in America and while doing so, will consult you from time to time.
Warm regards,
Father
