Meine Lieben, in einer kurzen Arbeitspause mal einen Gruß von mir! Es ist hier z.Zt. recht heiß, mir macht es aber nicht mehr viel, während Vater natürlich darüber Klagen hat. Sicher wird es aber bald mal wider abkühlen. Heute hatten wir wieder Nachricht von den Kindern, denen es allen dreien gut geht. Ich bin recht beschäftigt dieser Tage und meine Sachen aus Ann Arbor sind gekommen und ich muß auspacken und einrichten. Vaters Lachen ist wundervoll!
Meiner ein Tanzsaal beinahe! – Ich hoffe diesen Tage auch Affidavits für Walter, Wolfgang u. Peter abzuschicken, wie es mit der Registriernummer und der Quotenzulassung klappen wird, ist hier noch nicht klar. – Im letzten Monat habt Ihr eigenteil Euere Registriernummer beim Amer. Consulat erhalten. Man opriet hier davon, daß die bis zum Sept. 1938 vorgemerkten aufgerufen seien?
Es ist aber nach Aussage Dr. Simons ganz in Ordnung.
Ich werde nächstens wohl auch Vaters Lebensbescheinigung, wegen der Bezüge, einsenden.

My dear loved ones,
Hello from me during a short break! It is quite hot here now. It doesn't bother me much anymore, but Father typically complains about it. However, it will certainly cool down again soon. Today, we had news from the children again. All three are doing well. I’m quite busy these days and my things from Ann Arbor have arrived. I need to unpack and get organized. Father's smile is wonderful!
My place almost looks like a ballroom! Moreover, I hope to send affidavits for Walter, Wolfgang, and Peter soon. It is not yet clear how the registration number and quota approval will work. In the last month, you have received your own registration number at the American Consulate. I heard here that the numbers planned for September 1938 were supposedly called?
However, according to Dr. Simons, it is alright.
In view of my salary, I will probably submit Father’s life certificate soon.
Many heartfelt wishes to all our dear relatives and friends!
