Liebes Jungelllll!
Wenn Dich diese Zeilen erreichen, bist Du hoffentlich wohlbehalten angekommen. Meine Gedanken weilen natürlich viel und lediglich bei Dir und wir erwarten sehnlich die ersten Nachrichten von Deinem Ergehen. Hier ist so mildes Sommerwetter, daß ich sehr hoffe Du hast Deine keine stürmische Überfahrt. Viktor und ich sprechen schon davon Dich nächstes Jahr zu besuchen.

10.4. Heute kam Deine liebe Karte mit der sehr hübschen Photog. über die ich mich sehr gefreut habe. Auch Lieselotte schrieb mir einen reizenden Bericht über alles für den ich bald danken werde. Vater war am 2. Nachmittag mit Pauls bei uns zum Kaffee und die Kinder feierten die Geburtstage durch sehr niedliches Klavierspiel. Auch gibt es von uns wenig zu berichten. Frl. Bielef. geht heute auf 14 Tage Urlaub, auch Margot geht bald weg, sodaß ich nun

sehr viel zu tun werde. Zur Zeit bin ich schrecklich müde, denn es waren ja seit meiner Verlobung im Juni keine ruhigen Zeiten mehr. Aber die Hauptfreude ist jetzt, daß sie kommen werden. Und vorallem auch für Dich in absehbarer Zeit eine gefälligen Zukunft sich eröffnet. Ich bin felsenfest überzeugt, dass es Dir gelingen wird, drüben etwas zu erreichen. Beruflich ginge es ja einen gut und das andere wird sich auch finden. Nimm für heute

When this letter reaches you, I hope you have arrived safely. I think about you often and we eagerly await the first news about your well-being. The summer-like weather here is so mild here that I very much hope you don't have a stormy crossing. Viktor and I are already talking about visiting you next year.

4 October. Today, your nice postcard arrived along with the lovely photograph, which made me very happy. Lieselotte also wrote me a delightful letter about everything, for which I will thank her soon. Father and the Pauls visited us on October 2nd in the afternoon for coffee and the kids celebrated their birthdays by playing the piano. It was extremely cute. We don’t have much news. Ms. Bielefeld went on vacation for two weeks today. Margot will be leaving soon too.

I’ll now have a lot to do. I'm terribly tired now, especially since I haven't peace or quiet since I became engaged in June. My main joy at the moment is that they will come. Above all, you will have a bright future! I am absolutely convinced that you will be successful over there. You will do well professionally and everything else will work out.
