Mein lieber Max! Die letzte Nachricht von Dir war vom 24. Sept. datiert. Ich schrieb Dir 8. Okt. von hier eine Postkarte. Hoffentlich geht es Dir weiter gut. An unserem Ergehen hier ist nichts geändert. Wir sind alle drei gesund und grüssen Dich herzlichst. – Viktors Schwägerin ist von ihrem langen schweren Leiden durch den Tod erlöst worden. Der Sohn Fritz ist noch immer in Zürich 7. Physikerstr. 4. Er hat zuweilen auch Nachricht von unseren drei Kindern.
Ob und wann ich reisen kann, ist noch sehr ungewiss. Ich werde Dir darüber gegebenenfalls Nachricht geben.

Dear Max,
The last message from you was dated September 24th. I sent you a postcard from here on October 8th. Hopefully you are still doing well. Nothing has changed with our circumstances here. All three of us are healthy and we send you warm regards. Viktor's sister-in-law passed away and has been relieved of her long, grave suffering. Her son Fritz is still in Zurich at the following address: Zurich 7. Physikerstr. 4. Sometimes he receives news from our three boys.
It is still very uncertain if and when I can travel. I will let you know about this when the time comes.
