This study was developed for NASA by Beckman Instruments' Space Engineering Group (SEG) in 1964. The SEG developed the prototype hardware required to store and analyze saliva from astronauts as part of monitoring their medical condition. The instruments in this image include a Model 152 Microfuge, microtitrator, and colorimeter, all being used for sample analysis.
