Hochgeehrter Herr Kollege!
Gestern habe ich Ihr Telegramm erhalten u. als Antwort gedrahtet:
„Dankend bereit, eintreffe Karlsruhe 22 drei Uhr!“
Am 21.I bin ich also in München bei Herrn Kollegen Willstätter, reise am 22.I um 8 h 10 morg. nach Karlsruhe ab, woselbst ich um 2 h 51 eintreffe. Obgleich dadurch meine Reisedisposition i. mein (bereits vorhanden) Fahrscheinheft in Unordnung gerät w. ich in Karlsruhe übernachten muss (Abfahrt am 23 I um 10:01 morg. nach Freiburg), fuge ich mich den Wunsch der Meister Bredig-Freundenberg und erbitte im voraus Nachricht u. Wohlwollen.

Dear Colleague,
Yesterday, I received your telegram and wired you the following answer:
"Thank you. I am prepared to arrive in Karlsruhe at 22:03!"
On January 21st, I will visit our colleague, Mr. Willstätter in Munich. I will depart on January 22nd at 8:10 AM and arrive in Karlsruhe at 2:50 AM. Although this will alter the travel plans printed in my itinerary because I must spend the night in Karlsruhe (departure on January 23rd I at 10:01 AM to Freiburg), I accept the invitation of my colleagues Bredig and Freundenberg. I request goodwill and any news in advance.
