Hyoscyamus niger, also called black henbane and stinking nightshade, is a poisonous plant. Traditionally, it was used in herbal medicines to treat an array of ailments such as asthma, stomach pain, rheumatism, and motion sickness. All parts of this plant, including leaves, seeds, and roots, contain alkaloids such as Hyoscyamine, Atropine, Tropane, and Scopolamine.</dc:description>
