Vincent P. Guinn (1917-2002) was a chemist who began studying radiochemistry at the Oak Ridge Institute. He subsequently worked for the Radiochemistry Group of the Shell Development Company and General Atomic, and later held professorships at the University of California, Irvine and the University of Maryland, College Park. Guinn influenced the field of forensics: he recognized the utility of neutron activation analysis, published and lectured extensively, served as an expert witness, and testified before the House Select Committee on Assassinations regarding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
