Das nächste Schiff soll nicht abgehen, ohne meine Grüße an Dich zu befördern. Über Dein Telegramm haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Es war ein richtiges Ereignis.
Nun warten wir natürlich sehr auf die ersten Nachrichten, mein Jungelllll. Schreibe mir mit alles der Wahrheit

gemäß! Von uns gibt es wenig zu berichten. Vater geht es recht gut. Das Auge so gut wie in Ordnung. Bei uns ist alles gesund, aber viel Arbeit da Frl. B. in Erholung ist. Margo endgültig weg. Außerdem sind morgen mal wieder 8 Tage Ferien! Ich hätte sogern einen Ausländer (jungen Mann, Student oder dergl.), der nachmittags mit

den Kindern Musik u. Drachen u. Basteln treibt, vormittags kann er, wenn er will, ja Deutsch lernen od. sowas! Falls Du mal was hörst ev. durch Fajans (Edgar?)??? Mancher käme viell. gern nach Dr. für einige Zeit.
Wir verreisen vielleicht Mitte nächster Woche noch für 14 Tage wenn Frl. B. zurück ist, u. wenn nichts dazwischen kommt.
Meinen ersten Brief hast Du wohl bekommen? Bitte bestätige immer

die Briefe, damit ich weiß, ob sie Dich erreichen. Ich bin gespannt, ob Du Dich bald noch lachen nachkommen läßt u. wie Du die bisherigen versäumt hast. Hoffentlich ist die Wirtin nett. Sie nicht zu schüchtern und sage alles, wie Du es haben willst, denn das ist auch für sie am angenehmsten. Für heute innigste Grüße von uns allen, besonders von Deiner Marianne.
1) Übrigens das Spielzeug die Schwimmerin hat großes Glücke hier hervorgerufen. Die Kinder waren seelig.
2) Bitte vergleiche in dem dir gesandten Buch über Kunst: Seite 450, 500, 120, 400. Die Bilder sind doch ganz besonders schön!

The next ship shall not leave without sending my greetings to you. We were very happy to receive your telegram. It was a big event.
We are of course now waiting for your first update, my lad! Write to me about everything as it really happened!

We don’t have much news. Father is doing quite well. His eye is better. Everything here is fine, but there is a lot of work because Ms. B is on vacation. Margot is finally gone. In addition, tomorrow we have another eight days of vacation. I would love to have a foreigner (a young man, a student, or the like), who would come in the afternoons

to play music, fly kites, and do crafts with the children. In the morning, if he wants, he can learn German or something. Let me know if you happen to eventually hear anything from Fajans (Edgar?). Many students would like to come to Germany for a while.
In the middle of next week when Ms. B returns and if nothing comes up, we might be going away for another two weeks.
You probably received my first letter. Please confirm
