Lieber Max!

Dear Max,
Since I did not hear from Professor Fajans by this afternoon, I have just sent your application and Professor Fajan’s recommendation letter to the funding agency in Berlin. In my opinion, this is equivalent to a direct application. I hope you are doing well. I'm not sending you the Holok card because I don't think it's a good idea that to travel while you are convalescing.
Best wishes and say hello to grandmother,
Your Father
P.S. You still have time to send Prof. Mark (without c) a note of congratulations. Yesterday, he sent me postcard from Como while attending the Volta Anniversary Convention.
