Lieber Max! Ich bekam eben durch unseren Garantor die gute Nachricht, daß für Viktor auch die Sache soweit geklärt ist (d.h. Garantor in Gestalt eines Committees gefunden ist.), so daß er vermutlich später uns nachkommen kann. Wir hoffen in ca. 6 Wo. reisefertig zu sein. Ich bereite für Vater alles gleichzeitig vor. (Er soll einige Woche zu Ernst G.) Vater ist sehr wechselnder Stimmung, scheint sich aber jetzt mit dem Entschluß zu befremden. Es hängt bei ihm von augenblick. Stimmungen ab. Gott gebe, dass alles gut wird! Wir haben noch viel zu erledigen u. viele Sorgen, aber es wird schon werden. Die Kinder sind sehr vergnügt. Die Lehrer schreiben sehr zufrieden über sie. Wolfgang: „most intelligent“; das kleinste Geschöpf: „keen and intelligent.“

Dear Max,
I just received good news from our sponsor that the matter has been clarified for Viktor (i.e. a sponsor has been found in the form of a committee). Hence, he can probably follow us later. We hope to be ready to travel in about 6 weeks. I am preparing everything for Father at the same time. (He is supposed to stay with Ernst C. for a few weeks.). Father keeps changing his mind and now seems puzzled by his decision. With him, it depends on his current mood. Please God, I hope that everything will be fine! We still have a lot to do and a lot of worries, but it will be alright. The children are very happy. The teachers write that they are very satisfied with them. Wolfgang is the “most intelligent” and the youngest one is “keen and intelligent.”
