<dc:description>1980s pamphlet promoting Carbogel's collaboration with the Cape Breton Development Corporation in Nova Scotia.

Carbogel, Incorporated, founded in 1983, developed and licensed methods for slurrying coal to create what became known as coal-water fuels. Carbogel promised public utilities and industry a “secure and environmentally safe energy supply” that would insulate them from both the volatility of the oil economy and the costs of complying with increasingly stringent environmental controls. </dc:description>
