This conference brought together twenty-six organizations involved in human and civil rights work. Part one contains American chemist Percy Julian's keynote address, "One Hundred Years After," in which he reflects on America's history of racism. Please note that Julian's speech contains harmful language in a quotation from the poem "Incident" by Countee Cullen, which has not been redacted or edited. Part two of this recording contains conference participants reporting out about workshops held during the day, covering education, housing, employment, and inequality more broadly. The recording ends with a vote on conference's official recommendations towards progress in these areas.
